Where can I get more information about the different license Types of Profis Engineering?

How can I purchase HILTI software online?

On the PROFIS Engineering product page our customers can start PROFIS Engineering Trial software with premium features available for 30 days.

After 30 days there is the option to either opt for the PROFIS Engineering Standard license with basic features free of charge or Premium license with premium features.   

Our customers can directly buy PROFIS Engineering Premium license on Hilti website. 

How can I find the subscription portal?

Option 01: You can easily find the Subscription Portal on your local HILTI website by logging in with your HILTI credentials

Option 02: As a Subscription Admin you can go to the Subscription Portal directly from the software clicking on the 3 dots   ( (up right corner) and accessing ‘Manage my account’

what can i do -as the subscription admin- in the subscription portal?

In the Subscription Portal under the tab “Manage users” the Subscription Admin can manage the following for a PROFIS Engineering Premium License:

  • add new users who want to use the software
  • remove users
  • reinvite users

In the Subscription Portal under the tab “Manage Subscription” the Subscription Admin can manage the following:

  • transfer admin rights of the subscription to another admin
  • change license type or license quantity
  • change purchase order number
  • change payment method (if available in your MO)
  • read software and service agreement
  • cancel your subscription for the next renewal

How can I access Profis engineering through the subscription portal?

  • As a Subscription Admin you can go to the software directly from the Subscription Portal.
  • Click on ‘Software Login’ in the top right corner and you will be redirected to your PROFIS Engineering account.

How can I add users to give software access?

In the subscription portal click on the “Manage Users” tab. If you want to add new users who should be able to use the software in its premium version, click on ‘Add user’, giving details like ‘email’, ‘name’ etc.

  • The user added by the Admin gets invited to use the software via an email.
  • This user can access the software by following the link in the email received. If the user does not have Hilti credentials the user needs to create these to use the software.

How can I add several users at once?

In the subscription portal under “Manage users” tab its possible to add several users at once. Please follow the steps described below:

1.Go to the “Manage Users” tab in the subscription portal.

2.In the bottom right corner click on the “Add User” button.

3.A pop-up window opens. There select the option “Multiple users”.

4.Then click on “Continue”.

5.Here a CSV or XLSX template can be downloaded that contains required data structure.

6.The file must be filled out and needs to be uploaded. For the upload click on “Drop file here”.

 

7.Select the file that should be uploaded.

8.After the file is uploaded you see it on the screen. Then click on “Continue”. 

9.The uploaded data is verified. In the second tab called  “Incomplete contacts” users with incomplete data are displayed.

10.By clicking on the “edit button” it is possible to edit those incomplete contacts without uploading the file again. 

11.A window opens where the contact information is displayed. Enter the missing and correct information and click on “Save”. Complete this step for all incomplete contacts.

12.If any duplicates were found a message is displayed at the bottom of the page. Please note that duplicates are removed and not processed.

13.When all the incomplete information has been updated the tab “Incomplete contacts” shows a 0. When clicking on the tab the information “there are no incomplete contacts” is displayed. 

14.Under the tab “Complete Contacts” a list with all complete contact information is displayed. 

15.By clicking on the button “Submit” the final step of the process “mass user upload” can be completed

16.Submitting all the contacts that should be added as new uses of the subscription can take a few minutes. A progress meter and an estimate of the remaining time is displayed.

17.Once the list of contacts is uploaded the message “Users were added successfully” is shown. 

18.The full list of users is displayed under the “Manage Users” tab. The users have the status “invited” and will receive an email with a link to the software. 

How can I re-invite users to give software access?

In the subscription portal under the “Manage Users” tab you can re-invite users who want to use the software by clicking on ‘Re-invite users’. 

You can select the user’s email whom you want to re-invite. You can also ‘Filter’ a specific email/name and/or ‘Select all’ users you are willing to re-invite.

How can I Remove users to empty license seats?

In the subscription portal under “Manage users” tab you can remove users to add other users or to empty the seats.

You can select the user’s email whom you want to remove. You can also ‘Filter’ a specific email/name and/or ‘Select all’ users you are willing to remove.

For this please follow the process described below:

1.Click on ‘Remove users’ and select the ones you want to remove

2.Refresh the page and the user will be removed.

How can I increase or decrease my license quantity under my subscription?

In the subscription portal under “Manage subscription” tab you can increase the quantity of license (seats) of your subscriptions. Please follow the steps described on the next section:

1.Click on the three dots of the subscription for which you want to increase the number of licenses. 

2.Then click on Manage Subscriptions.

3.Click on Change Quantity in the upper right corner and select the number of seats you want to have. 

4.The current quantity you already have is displayed.

5.You can immediately increase your license quantity but can only decrease at the end of the term.

6.Choose the number of licenses you want to have and click on continue.

7.Your new increased license(s) will be immediately available for you.

8.In case you decrease the quantity of a running subscription, the change will only be effective end of the term.

How can I change (upgrade) my license type?

In the subscription portal under “Manage subscription” tab you can upgrade your subscription from Individual to Floating. Please follow the steps described in the next section:

1.Click on the three dots of the subscription which you want to upgrade.  

2.Then click on Manage Subscriptions.

3.Click on Change Subscription.

4.Select the changes you want to make (license type and also license quantity, if you want).

5.Click on Continue. 

How can I cancel my subscription?

In the subscription portal under “Manage subscription” tab you can cancel your subscription. Please follow the process described below:

1.Click on the three dots of the subscription you want to cancel end of term.

2.Then click on Manage Subscriptions.

3.In the bottom left click on Cancel Subscription and select the reason of cancelation for feedback reasons à Your subscription access will be terminated for the next term (e.g. next year if you pay yearly).
