First-in-industry: 3D Active Vibration Reduction

Reduced vibration across all three axes
Engineered for the TE 8-22 and TE 30-22, Hilti 3D AVR dampens vibration energy before it reaches your hands, delivering a smoother, more controlled drilling experience without compromising power or speed.

Reduced fatigue during heavy use
A combination of precision-tuned springs and elastic bellows absorbs vibration to help reduce fatigue. Work more comfortably and benefit from increased protection during high-volume applications.

FAQs
ATC (Active Torque Control) is Hilti’s advanced technology designed to help protect against tool kickback. When a drill bit suddenly binds in concrete or hits hidden material, the tool body can twist violently—a common cause of jobsite injuries.
The Electronic Slip Clutch (ESC) is an advanced control feature engineered to protect your equipment and optimise performance. The system quickly reduces or cuts motor power, helping to minimise the risk of drill bits jamming when hitting rebar. This helps maintain higher productivity, supports application reliability, and helps extend the life of your drill bits. It also delivers higher control during application, particularly on brick walls with core bits. Furthermore, ESC helps preserve the tool's components, increasing its overall lifetime.
Hilti’s 3D AVR (3-Dimensional Active Vibration Reduction) system is engineered to help increase operator protection and drilling comfort. Built for the TE 8-22 and TE 30-22 cordless rotary hammers, this system reduces vibration across all three axes, delivering a smoother, more controlled drilling experience.
At its core, 3D AVR uses a combination of precision-tuned springs and elastic bellows. These components work together to absorb and dampen vibration energy before it reaches your hands, helping to reduce fatigue during extended use.
Thanks to this design, these tools achieve exceptionally low vibration levels for this category—without compromising performance, power, or speed. With 3D AVR, you can drill longer, work more comfortably, and benefit from increased protection on the jobsite.
TE DRS-4/6
An on-board, self-contained system engineered for drilling and chiselling with the TE 4-22 and TE 6-22.
TE DRS-22
An on-board, self-contained system built for drilling and chiselling with the TE 4-22, TE 6-22, and the TE 8-22.
TE DRS-D
A versatile, drilling-only system compatible with SDS-Plus (TE-C) and SDS-Max (TE-Y) rotary hammers.
TE DRS-C
A dust removal system engineered for SDS-Plus (TE-C) rotary hammers.
To maximise reach of your Hilti cordless SDS-Plus rotary hammers, choose a system of batteries, chargers, and inserts optimized for top-class cordless performance.

Battery
For our larger SDS-plus rotary hammers like the TE 8-22, choose B 22-195 Nuron battery – a high-capacity 22V Li-ion battery built to boost the performance and run time of medium- to heavy-duty power tools. Compatible with all Nuron cordless tools.

Charger
The C 8-22 Nuron ultimate charger is our fastest way to recharge your Nuron batteries, restoring power in as little as 30 minutes.

Inserts
To help maximise the amount of work done, select Hilti’s Ultimate line inserts. Using Ultimate line drill bits, for example, provides up to 30% faster drilling speeds, helping you to extend your reach and get more holes.
Hilti offers a wide range of high-performance inserts designed to maximise efficiency and durability for your applications.

Drill bits for concrete, reinforced concrete and masonry:
SDS-Plus (TE-CX or TE-C): Ideal for smaller rotary hammers, these bits are designed for anchor drilling in concrete, reinforced concrete, masonry and brick.

Chisels
For demolition, chipping, and precision breaking in concrete/masonry, use pointed/flat chisels (TE-C). Self-sharpening designs (e.g. TE-CX FP) help reduce downtime.

Drill and clean in one step virtually dust-free
Drill and clean in one step with our TE-CD hollow drill bits for higher productivity and safety by reducing exposure to dust.

Stop drill bits and anchor setting tools
For consistent hole depth and accurate installation of HSC, HKD, and HDI anchors, use dedicated stop drill bits and anchor setting tools.
1. Remove battery or unplug
Always unplug corded tools or remove batteries from cordless models before cleaning to prevent accidental activation.
2. Remove stubborn dirt
Carefully remove stubborn dirt from the tool.
3. Clean air vents
Carefully clean the air vents, if present, with a dry, soft brush.
4. Clean housing
Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the housing. Do not use cleaning agents containing silicone as these can attack the plastic parts. Use a dry, clean cloth to clean the contacts of the product.
1. Disconnect power
Always unplug corded tools or remove batteries from cordless models before storage.
2. Choose your suitable location
Store the product (and the batteries) in a cool and dry place where they cannot be accessed by children or unauthorized persons. Never leave batteries in direct sunlight, on sources of heat, or behind glass.
4. Inspect before and after storage
Prior to each use and before and after prolonged storage, check the product and the batteries for damage.
