FAQs
Angle grinders cut; slitting tools create channels. A dedicated slitter is purpose-built to deliver faster speeds, higher precision, and virtually no dust — all while reducing physical fatigue and extending your tool's lifespan.
Yes, but it will cost you speed and durability. Standard 150mm blades are engineered for 11,000 RPM angle grinders. Mounting them on the DCH 150-SL causes them to underperform and wear out faster. For maximum speed and lifespan, always use dedicated Hilti SPX-SL and SP-SL Universal slitting discs for consistent speed across all base materials.
Yes, the tool will function, but we highly recommend always using one. Hilti dust extractors lock securely to the DCH 150-SL to deliver virtually dust-free performance, protecting you from breathing harmful airborne dust on the job.
