Firestopping drywall can be a laborious task - first you need to measure and cut the gypsum board which can create huge clouds of dust. Then when you've got everything prepared, fastening the deflection head is usually a two-person job which may need to be repeated 2-3 times depending on the number of layers of board required.
The new CFS-TTS Firestop top track seal for drywall applications simplifies this whole process to 3 very quick and easy steps: just apply the firestop to the drywall track, cut it to length and then fasten it in place - that's it!
This completely new firestopping method delivers a European fire rated seal (EN 1366-4) at the top of the drywall track to block smoke and fire for up to 120 minutes, giving you complete peace of mind whilst saving you lots of time in the process.
Firestopping for up to 120 minutes in 3 simple steps
The traditional method of firestoppoing drywall with a deflection head can be very time consuming with up to 13 individual steps to get the job done and carries a few risks such as dust, working at heights and manual heavy lifting.
