Safety

General safety instructions

Read all safety instructions and other instructions.
Keep all safety instructions and other instructions for future reference.
  • Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when working with this device, do not use this device while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
  • Maintain tools and accessories carefully. Check that moving parts operate satisfactorily and do not jam, and make sure that no parts are broken or damaged in such a way that the tool might no longer function correctly. Have damaged parts repaired before using the tool. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
  • Do not expose the appliance to rain or wet conditions. Water entering an electric appliance will increase the risk of electric shock.
  • Have the appliance serviced by a qualified repair person using only genuine Hilti spare parts. The safety of the appliance can thus be maintained.
  • Do not cover a type identification plate or other labels.
  • Do not cover any openings in the casing of the item of equipment.
  • Do not obstruct switches, displays and warning lights.
  • To avoid surface damage or chemical reactions, check that the adhesive is compatible with the surface before affixing the ON!Track gateway AI G125.
  • Keep away from children.

Product-specific safety instructions

  • Check the contents of the packaging. Make sure that nothing is damaged and that the contents are complete. If you notice defects or shortcomings that could impair the operability of the device, have them rectified by qualified personnel.
  • Make sure that the device is correctly installed and secured.

Additional safety instructions

  • The device is designed for indoor use only.
  • Although the device complies with the strict requirements of the valid directives, Hilti cannot entirely rule out the possibility of the device causing interference due to powerful electromagnetic radiation. This can lead to incorrect operation. Check the accuracy of the device by taking measurements by other means when working under such conditions or if you are uncertain. Similarly, Hilti cannot exclude the possibility of interference with other devices (e.g. aircraft navigation devices).

Description

Intended use

The Hilti ON!Track gateway AI G125 makes it possible to clearly identify a construction asset by way of a radio signal. After being activated, the AI G125 continuously transmits a radio signal that enables the user of the Hilti ON!Track system solution to track the asset. A smartphone app and a Web application for the management of construction assets is available from Hilti .

Prerequisites

The functionality of the AI G125 can be used only with the Hilti ON!Track app or a Web browser. In order to use this app, a user name and a password are required.

System failures can occur on account of updates of the AI G125 software.

Operation

Installing gateway

  1. Using the wall plugs and screws provided, secure the bracket of the AI G125 to the wall/slab.
  2. Screw the antennas into the back of the AI G125.
  3. Secure the AI G125 to the bracket installed beforehand. Make sure that the device is secure.
  4. Connect the AI G125 to the electricity supply.

Transferring gateway to new location

  1. Disconnect the AI G125 from the electricity supply.
  2. Install the AI G125 at the new location. Do not connect the device to the electricity supply.
  3. Activate the ON!Track app and navigate to Transfer.
  4. Scan the QR code with your smartphone and enter the new data.
  5. Connect the AI G125 to the electricity supply.
    • The AI G125 is ready for use.

Transport and storage

Transport
  • Deactivate the product for transport.
  • Make sure that the equipment is held securely throughout all transport operations.
  • After the device has been transported, always check all visible parts for damage.
Storage
  • Always store this product with the electric supply cable unplugged from the electricity supply.
  • Store this product in a dry place, where it cannot be accessed by children or unauthorized persons.
  • After a long period of storage, always check all visible parts and controls for signs of damage and make sure that they all function correctly.

Disposal

Image alternative Most of the materials from which Hilti tools and appliances are manufactured can be recycled. The materials must be correctly separated before they can be recycled. In many countries, your old tools, machines or appliances can be returned to Hilti for recycling. Ask Hilti Service or your Hilti representative for further information.

This device complies with the radiation limits defined for the uncontrolled exposure environment. This device should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 35 cm between radiation source and any part of the body.

FCC statement (applicable in US) / IC statement (applicable in Canada)

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause interference to radio communications.

In accordance with the regulations of Industry Canada, operation of the radio transmitters used is permissible only with the antennas approved by Industry Canada. To reduce potential radio interference for other devices, the type of antenna for the purpose should be selected such that the effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) is no higher than necessary for successful communication.
