- Jaibot Semi-Autonomous Drilling Robot
BIM-powered robotics for MEP installation
Boost speed, safety and accuracy with the Hilti Jaibot
What if you could fully automate the construction workflow by going beyond mere digital planning? What if a robot could take on repetitive work, help reduce the risk of human error and complete MEP projects faster, more safely and more accurately? BIM has already helped to greatly reduce complexity. Now, using digital planning as a base, the semi-autonomous drilling robot Jaibot is taking installation work to the next level by achieving significant productivity gains.
Meet the Jaibot
The Jaibot solution
Join the future of construction today
- A construction robot for MEP / IF installation work.
- A semi-autonomous drilling robot for ceiling installations.
- A completely cordless system that can work for up to 8 hours between charges and has a built-in dust removal and marking system.
- An easy-to-use intelligent system that doesn’t require expert skills to operate.
How does Jaibot work?
Increase productivity with a semi-autonomous ceiling drilling robot
The semi-autonomous drilling robot Jaibot helps your installation projects become more productive. Using a digital plan, the robot takes over project execution and the same data can be used to track the progress and status of the installation project. As the robot marks and then drills the holes according to the plan, it helps to relieve the construction worker of strenuous and repetitive tasks like overhead drilling. All your workforce needs to do is operate the Jaibot – our new construction robot.
Greater accuracy
Digitizing the construction value chain
With BIM, you have already entered the age of digital planning. With digital planning, engineers contribute to a building process that can be more efficient, results in fewer problems on site, and produces the optimum system design. A construction robot uses the same data for job execution. To automate your jobsite with Jaibot:
- Upload the data from Autocad or Revit to the Hilti Cloud.
- Import the job file via the rugged PLC 400 field tablet for layout applications.
- Layout the construction site with the Hilti total station PLT 300.
The construction robot then drills thousands of holes autonomously according to the digital drilling plan resulting in far greater drilling accuracy from this digitized process.
Work safer
Construction robotics help reduce potential risk areas
Overhead work for MEP installation may be strenuous, challenging and time-consuming for your workers. And in times of skilled-labor shortage in the construction industry, taking good care of your team is a top priority. For your team, working with a construction robot helps reduce the risks associated with their jobsite projects. Their job is now to operate the Jaibot, set-up the total station and ensure that the Jaibot can perform its job.
Fewer errors
Everything where it's supposed to be
Digital data can be very accurate, but there may be still a number of potential risks involved with MEP installations. The coordination of multiple contractors can be difficult, and projects often may suffer from poor installation quality. Coordinating the different applications may also be costly. A construction robot may be faster and more accurate as it autonomously drills the holes according to the digital plan. The location, the hole depth and diameter are defined by the drilling plan, likely resulting in fewer errors, greater accuracy and cleaner holes. When marking and drilling, Jaibot automatically syncs back to the system. The current status of the project can be tracked live for documentation.
