Features & Applications
Features
- Hilti HZA-P tension anchors in combination with Hilti adhesive mortars allow punching shear reinforcement to be installed in previously cast concrete slabs
- Designed according to the applicable building code for structural concrete
- Can be combined with cast-in-place punching shear reinforcement
- Fire resistance provided by concrete cover – the concrete surface remains smooth
- Cost-effective means of reinforcement against punching shear loads
Applications
- Strengthening of flat slabs helping to resist punching shear for safety reasons (e.g. higher applied loads or to make up for design flaws or deficiencies during construction)
- When the upper side of the slab is inaccessible for installation work or is accessible only with great difficulty, Hilti HZA-P tension anchors are set in drilled holes inclined towards the column, using the appropriate injectable adhesive mortar
