Post-installed rebar within the New Design for Concrete Fixing Section - Profis 3.0.79

Within Profis Engineering v 3.0.79 is there the option to analyse structural connections with post-installed rebar within the New Design for Concrete Fixing Section? We would like to check the concrete edge failure
capacity. We have the program installed on computers and are we are getting the option to select HIT-RE 500 with Rebar on one but not the others. Is this available? Can you help?

Thank you for your question Jamie,

PROFIS Engineering is a cloud based software calculating anchors (baseplates), normally using EN 1992-4 for European situation. When calculating chemical anchors like RE 500 normally the resin is combined with a threaded rod as HAS-U. Per definition an anchor can resist both tension load, shear load and moment. The anchor or the anchors are transferring these loads to the concrete fixing a baseplate to the concrete, steel to concrete. In rare cases one can use rebar as anchor and this is possible to calculate using PROFIS Engineering. This makes it possible to check concrete edge breakout resistance coming from a shear load acting on the anchor (rebar). However, in most cases when using post installed rebar one are following EN 1992-1-1. In this case tension loads are transferred from a post installed rebar to an existing rebar. Shear loads are transferred in the joint of the two concrete surfaces, concrete to concrete. For this case please use our other software PROFIS Rebar. This software is not cloude based (yet). You can download it using this link: PROFIS Rebar detailing software - Software for Fastening Systems - Hilti United Kingdom If I somehow did not understand you question correctly or if you need assistance please feel free contacting my colleges at  gbtas@hiti.com.
