Which HILTI anchor products are used for precast to existing concrete structure connection. I am connecting a precast beam to an existing mass concrete retaining wall. How do I model concrete to concrete connection in the PROFIS software?
Thank you for your enquiry. We do not have a specific product for precast to mass concrete structures. Is you precast unit solid or hollow ? Are you looking to dowel a bar into both as our software will not do that * or are you looking to install a ledger angle and sit your precast unit on that? Now our software will allow you design a connection into *either the precast (assuming solid) or the mass wall it will not calculate the required embedment depth into the other unit similar to if you had an existing slab and were extending it as it looks at the existing not the new . This will be covered in the new Concrete to Concrete module which is due mid / late Jan 2023. Please contact you local HILTI office for assistance in the meantime . If you are using an angle then you can simply model the connection to the mass wall within Profis Engineering and the Concrete fixing module.
