I have a client who is requesting HUS4-H10 anchors with an embedment of 50mm into the concrete. With the use of Profis i can not go this low. The lowest i have achieved is 55mm, is it possible to use these anchors at 50mm embedment? The anchors are resisting a total of 65kN between 6 anchors so are highly utilised already.
Thanks for the posting. Depending upon the load being applied the minimum Effective embedment depth h_ef * which can be selected in Profis Engineering is 42.5mm however the required Nominal embedment depth is 55mm . Please refer to page P9 Table A6 of the attached ETA 20/0867 April 2024 *hef is the effective embedment depth which is measured between the concrete surface and the bottom of the anchor element and is used in the anchor design process whilst hnom is the length embedded in the concrete . This has no influence on the anchor design process.
