Type of nails required
I am fixing 47mm timber to steel portal framework with Hilti 450. Which length nails do I need please?

Thank you for your question. The DX450 is an old cartridge tool and over the years accepted two different types of nail. The original being a premounted steel washer 12mm diameter and the later nails plastic 8mm diameter. If you contact your local HILTI sales with the version of the DX450 that you have and also the thickness of the steel base material they can assist you regarding the correct nail length for the application.
