I was trying to set up a model of anchor fixing in the reinforced concrete plinth. Everything was fine, except that I could not set the number of surface rebars and I can only manually adjust the spacing between rebars. Any ideas about how could I model the reinforcement arrangement more precisely?
Thanks for your question and PE file. Looking at your file you are trying to model a cast in threaded rod M24 with nut and washer M24 for which you are not able to run a CBFEM analysis. Change the advanced calc type to Rigid and based upon your current inputs the calculation will run. You can reduce the ctop to 25mm which is the minimum cover and you can position the spacing between the supplementary reinforcement to meet the spacing requirement this is not an automatic function. Finally whilst this calculation works you haven't actually met the criteria of activating the supplementary reinforcement as you are required to have two unrestrained edges . You can see this in the program as the supplementary checks are all at 0%
