slotted holes enquiry

slotted holes enquiry

the design attached is a design of a lighting column bracket to be attached to a wall, basically the base plate will be attached to a the wall side.
with the possibility of hitting concrete reinforcement while anchoring we would like to use long slotted holes to allow some flexibility to move our bracket horizontally and maybe vertically. maybe width of the slot 18mm and length 56mm.
I can not see that we can add that with in the model, can you advise please ?

Thanks for the question . In relation to your design it would not be possible to have all 4 anchors in slots as it would be outside of the allowed design criteria. It would be possible however to model 2 of the 4 in slots and run a calculation. You can find this under the 'Layout Tab' located under the main ' Anchor' icon . Please note however the use of the slots does very much depend upon the anchor arrangement and concrete dimensions which can lead to a requirement of filled holes / sofa to be utilised for the design thereby negating the use of slots.

thanks for your reply. which design criteria did Hilti use in this case ? that you mentioned that if we use 4 slotted holes it would go out side it. Is that based on a standard or is it a Hilti internal criteria ?
