Should Psi M,N be different for shear and tension




In the attached calculation output for HUS-4 Anchors the value of psi M.N is different for tension and shear. As the formula is the same for both, I would expect the values to be the same. Please can you explain why they are different?

In the concrete breakout failure modes, only the anchors in tension and the tension loads are considered.
In the pryout failure mode, all values (including psi_MN) are recalculated for the shear loads and the anchors are calculated in shear.
In this case psi_MN =1.
