Resin anchors for sandstone

Hi, What chemical anchor would you recommend for connecting a steel plate to a sandstone wall? Will Hilti Hit-RE 500 V4 be suitable? Can you also advise on the achievable shear capacity of a M12 anchor with a 110mm embedment? Thanks.

Thank you for your email, for Sandstone we would actually suggest the HY270 resin injection mortar which is specifically formulated for masonry, blockwork and natural stone. However due to the potential variances of the size of the stone and structure construction i.e from random rubble to large stone blocks we do not have any data available and can only recommend testing to establish the allowable resistance. Regarding your RE500V4 we would suggest that for natural materials such as Granite or rock again testing would be required.
