Removal and reinstall HSL-3 anchors

Is it allowable to remove the anchors and then reinstate them?

Thank you for your question we do not supply tools to remove HSL anchors and it is also not possible to reuse them. In case where a baseplate is to be removed and refixed in the same position then I'd suggest looking at an internally threaded socket which is permanently fixed into the concrete but allows for a set screw/ bolt etc to be inserted and removed as required.

Can the Hilti HSL4-I Internally Threaded anchors be used for this purpose? I have a condition where I need to temporarily remove an embed plate to allow access to the interior of a structure for maintenance but would like to be able to reuse the embed plate once the service is completed.

Hi, Thanks for your question the HSL4-I could be an option if you are in N. America as I believe it is available there and can be designed within there local standards. I don't believe this product is available in Europe and I'm also not aware of any European approvals. Depending upon your requirements the HIS -N or HIS-RN internally threaded sockets which can be utilised with various chemicals could be an option or HSC-I internally threaded anchor though the sizes are somewhat limited. I would suggest you contact your local HILTI office to discuss your specific application requirements.
