Question about Hilti connection to RC column with edge distance

Hello,

I came up the following issues while designing connection to RC column. I have connection to take vertical force (downward) of 100kN. If I provide the bottom edge distance say 5000mm the connection failed but if the same distance is changed into infinite then the connection works well (see attached sketch). Could you please clarify what cause the issue and advise which design approach is correct?

Hi, Thanks for the follow up, that's pretty much the beam infinity example to a but flipped to a column to a foundation scenario with the same criteria still applicable.

Thanks for your question, this really depends upon your structure and whether you decide if the edge distance is restrained or not. I've attached a simplified sketch that gives a general overview.
