Putty Pad Installation

Hi

I am looking for some guidelines with regard to the Putty
Pads used in Fire Stopping/Acoustic sealing of Back Boxes.

Does the Back Box have to sit flush with the front of the
plasterboard, or can it sit further back, with some board visible? If so, by
how much?

Can the Back Box sit some distance behind the plasterboard,
as long as the Putty Pad covers that gap? If so, what gap is permissible?

Can your Putty Pads be used on plastic back boxes also?

Best regards

Our standard CP 617 test data just cover back box installed flush with the plasterboard.
