Post fixed bars query

Hi, I'm looking to check a detail for a series of post fixed bars into a core wall for a stair landing. Two queries:

1) Do you always have to specify a baseplate and column profile even if none present?
2) The Hilti-500 options don't seem to show an option for normal rebar (as opposed to threaded rod etc, see attached) Is it possible to check for normal rebar?

Thanks for your question it sounds as though you need to be utilising the Profis Rebar software for your connection. It is possible for some 'anchorage' connections using Profis Engineering but as this is typically for anchorages you do need to model the baseplate to represent the new area of concrete. Additionally it is important to remember that and shear load is taken as acting on the rebar which under EC2 isn't allowed. To see the rebar option in PE go the filter select Adhesive, No thread and Post Installed.

Hi, It might be your local settings. You can check that by changing the Region setting to the United Kingdom for example . It will still run the check to EC2 Part 4 as an anchor installation.

OK thank you for the quick response. When applying the filters in my version of PE there are no available options to select for rebar
