Oversized Holes in base plate

Hi i am using 2018420 HIT-Z M20x215 (insert) / 2022696 HIT-HY 200-A (mortar) can i use oversized holes up to 60mm in the base plate and utilise repair washers

Thanks for your question if you look at the ETA 19/0632 Table B1 Installation Parameters the HIT-Z M20 anchors based upon a 'through fixing' installation then the maximum clearance hole in your baseplate shall be 24mm. Whilst the HY200A has a high compressive strength (>100 N/mm2) and low shrinkage the limitation of the gap is still low at 5 mm .This is on the provision that proper installation (I.e. filling the gap without voids) for which a typical procedure requires the use of an auxiliary cover plate with two holes: one to inject the mortar, and the other one to allow the release of air bubbles. It is the customer responsibility to perform specific testing to confirm the adequacy of the filling procedure.
