I have been using Profis Engg Suite and I have a case where the coloumn is on a 50mm grout and at edge on 2 side. Actually one edge is actually a cut-out of 150mm which I cannot really model it like that in the program. Customer prefers only mechanical anchors (mainly HST3), dont want to use injection mortar. My calculation passes with 6 HST3 anchors but have to use SOFA filling set. Is there any option to use any thing elseor have any suggestion here? Attached is the calc file
Thanks for your enquiry from looking at your attached PE file the irregular arrangement of your anchor layout plus comination of edge distance is outside of the allowed pattern within EC2 Part 4 ( Pls see section 1.2 Type of fasteners and fastening groups) Therefore the software defaults to the sofa methodology as a well of producing a calculation for the modelled criteria.
