maximum torque moment Tmax (Nm) for M24 using HIT-RE 500 V3 injection mortar

Dear Sir/Ms,

In Technical Datasheet for HIT-RE 500 V3 injection mortar, Tmax for M24 = 200Nm, where hef, min = 96 and hdf, max=480.

  1. Is 200Nm for hef, min or hef, max?
  2. we use HIT-RE 500 V3 injection mortar to install rail clips, the rail clips - gantrail requires at least 240Nm, is this applicable to anchor installed with HIT-RE 500 V3 injection mortar? email attached.

Thank you for your question, each anchor has a unique specified maximum torque applicable, which you can find under the latest product ETA on our Hilti website. The torque value does not not change in respect of the embedment depth nor does it change depending on anchor spacing or edge distance since the minimum edge distance is a mandatory requirement for installation. A higher torque applied to the anchors will introduce a higher clamping or prestress on the fixture that could lead to failure of the connection due to base material failure.
