Hi,
I am working on a scheme involving a handrail anchor bolt design (please see attached design that provides design details). I have been advised by the client that the slab thickness is a 130mm steel profile sheet deck slab (130mm overall depth with PMF Comflor 51 metal decking). The maximum allowable depth for drill holes is therefore 79mm. The design output states a 90mm hole depth is required for the attached design to work.
Please can we discuss if this depth issue can be resolved. I would appreciate if someone can give me a call back on 07719763311 to discuss how/if this can be resolved with another product. I have also email from murtazaazhar05@hotmail.co.uk.
Thanks,
Thanks for your question. Looking at your pdf the concrete base material thickness that has been entered is 130mm please see pg 7 I believe that the minimum thickness that can be inputted within handrail module is 100mm. Now whether you want to use that as a basis of the loads acting on the anchors and go to the Concrete Fixing module and replicate the details . In this module you can enter a minimum thickness of 80mm as the base material albeit the anchor selection is reduced but it may well provide you with a workable solution.
