Masonry Anchor Shear calculations
We are carrying out a shear check on shear plates which are fixed into hollow clay brick. The check fails in brick edge failure. Do you have calculations to show the workings out for the checks on hilti profis? There is very little guidance in the eurocodes and we could do with more confidence when issuing documents

Thank you for your enquiry and Profis file. I’ve attached a pdf report based upon your file which is the detailed version. As the software indicates for this masonry unit the results were derived from the criteria provided by the 2013 publication ETAG 029 Part C Design Methods For Anchorages which is available for download directly from www.eota.eu.
