Intumescent acoustic putty pad

What is the maximum size of back box (metal and plastic) that your putty pads have been tested to? We have media outlets and grid switches that require large back boxes. Can you share the test certs.

Also, when using your intumescent acoustic putty pads, are there limitation of the proximity or number of outlets that you have tested in a single wall?

I am looking at developing group wide standard details and am unsure if your product will be suitable in all applications.

Thanks for your question, you will find the relevant technical published data for your country regarding the CP617 putty pads on your local HILTI website. The acoustic data online provides spacing of the boxes. For other arrangements that are not acoustic we would suggest that any spacing should be based upon the partition make up so that it is not damaged leading to the fire resistance being compromised. Your board manufacturer should be consulted as they may have some comment re this aspect.

Many thanks. That doesn't answer my question. What sized back boxes (plastic and metal) have you tested your product with. That is nothing to do with the wall board manufacturer. Without data to support your claim that this can be used with 'any sized' back box, we will not be able to specify your product. Can you please supply the test results.

Thanks for the follow up question. For clarity the online data contains the sizes of the CP617 pads available in your local country from these sizes you should be able to determine whether the pad for example is for a single or double box. We do not supply test certification.
