We have had to specify that filled holes (annular gaps) are to be used in the design of a post installed fixing arrangement due to having a three bolt load arrangement.
A contractor who is constructing the project has just informed us that the Hilti Filling Washers are only available up to M24 size and the bolts we have specified (and are required to make the design work) are M30s. Could you please provide any advice as to where M30 filling washers are available from? In addition, if this is not something that could be obtained, could we suggest that the Hilti PROFIS Engineering software makes the designer aware that they are about to specify something that cannot be procured.

There are two main reasons why Profis will of asked you to fill the holes to meet the SOlutions for FAsteners method 1) Equal shear distribution 2) Shear load transfer to the back rows. Please note that it does not limit the diameter of the fixing however you are correct that currently 'Filling Sets' as one way of installation of meeting the criteria are only available in sizes up to M24. I suspect if you check your design it hasn't actually called for filling sets directly but SOFA and therefore filling sets have automatically been assumed.
There are a couple of options available the first would mean welding the washer of the anchor to the baseplate, applying the correct torque to the nut and then apply a weld between nut and washer. Another option could be to use a washer which is predrilled to allow air to escape and resin to be injected though this is an untested method i.e. an example of the idea ( Note the resin area shown is larger than required for illustration purposes only) Finally select an anchor with a countersunk head and matching countersunk baseplate.
