Hello,
I'm looking for advice on the most appropriate system for fixing an eyebolt to a reinforced concrete wall capable of withstanding 30kN tension and 15kN shear in both planes. It's purpose is to fix a Tirfor to it to drag mechanical equipment out of a tunnel. I'd have thought HKD M20x80 would be the most suitable however I can't find it on the Hilti Profis software.
Guidance would be highly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Dan Billsborough
Thanks for your question, I can confirm the HKD 's are available for selection within Profis Engineering depending upon your selection regarding the Determination of concrete condition (Eurocode 2 - Design of concrete structures - Part 4: Design of fastenings for use in concrete Part 4.7). If your criteria determines that the concrete is cracked then the HKD's cannot be designed within the software and you would need to select a different anchor or design as per CEN TR17079 Design of fastenings for use in concrete - Redundant non- structural systems. In relation to the second scenario please find attached the relevant ETA for your hand calculation.
