Fixings to composite metal deck
I'm designing some steel fixings to the underside of an existing composite metal deck slab - is it OK to use the same fixings you would for a regular RC slab or are there specific fixings for this case? Currently I'm looking at specifying Hilti HST-3 anchors.

Thank you for your enquiry, currently there is no design methodology in Europe for fixing to metal composite decks for post installed anchors whether that be HST or the HUS-4 screw anchors. I can only suggest that you carefully check the dimensional criteria of the area where you wish to install the anchors to ensure your design meets the requirements of the load that you wish to safely transfer. .
