Application is fixing of M8 stainless steel rod into limestone for suspension (so load is only the self weight of stone which will be modest - no more than 0.35 kN per fixing point). I can see that Hilti RE500 might be suitable when I use your selection tool but none of the product literature then mentions stone at all - am I missing something?
Thanks for your question, the choice of resin depends upon the base material, something like a Bath ,Sand, Lime, Portland Stone etc. I'd expect the HY270 to be utilised as that is the most widely used product of ours into masonry, blockwork and natural stone. However due to variances in the material, and also the size, and structure type it is impossible to test all types and therefore we have no data for natural stone and would recommend testing to establish the load resistances. Regarding the RE500V4 then this would typically be more rock, Granite type materials and as mentioned there is no published load and would again mean testing if a safety critical application . Additionally, we do not have data for any mechanical anchors either into such base materials
