Hi,
I have done a design of a baseplate with HST3 M8 hef2 mechanical anchors into a 80mm reinforced normal weight reinforced concrete substrate. Calculation attached.
Can you confirm that this calculation is fully compliant with all relevant standards. ~
Blow-out has been raised as a concern as the hole depth in base material is 64mm, leaving only 16mm of concrete. Do you share this concern? Are there any steps that can be taken to reduce the risk of this?
Thanks,
Will
Thank you for your enquiry, please find attached a copy of the European Technical Assessment for the HST3 / 3R anchors July 23 . Please refer to Table B12 within the ETA where you will find confirmation that the HST3 / 3R M8 have been tested within a slab thickness of 80mm. From your attached file the Profis Engineering software has calculated the capacity of the base material based upon the inputted parameters therefore provided the Instructions For Use are followed we have no reason to suspect the anchor will not perform as indicated.
