Edge connection failing. Any tips for designing with large moments and shears at edge of slab?
Designing connection of a steel facade beam to edge of concrete slab. Size of connection zone limited to 300mm due to concrete column nearby and construction tolerances. Steel facade beam is cranked creating a moment and shear force around both axis at connection. Currently connection in PROFIS is always failing in edge pull out. Please see attached images for forces and geometry constraints.
