Correct Diameter of anchor for resistance
I am currently assessing the capacity of an M20 HIT-HY 200 + HIS N anchor.
The diameter, da, is specified as 27.6mm in the calculations which is the cap screw diameter. Is this correct? I thought it should be 20mm?
Is the diameter of an M20 = 27.6mm?

Thanks for your enquiry. I think you are slightly confused between the HAS-U anchor rods and the HIS-N which are an internally threaded female socket with the outside diameter of the socket will be larger versus a rod due to the 'wall thickness' hence for the HIS-N M20 the value of 27.6mm being utilised in the calculation.
