Connection rock-concrete

Hello, I am working on a connection between rock and a concrete wall. The two surfaces are not in contact with each other, but there will be a gap of 20 mm in between for an insulation layer, see attached picture. Is there a way, using the HILTI dirlled rebars tool , to verify the interface for shear? Shear will be only taken by the rebars,, with no friciton or cohesion.
additionally, which product can be specified? or any additional requirement for protection?

Thank you in advance for the help you may provide.

Hilti Verified

Thanks for your question, there are a few issues here:

Firstly,  HILTI do not provide masonry restraint ties.

Second,  Hilti do not supply rebar  but anchor rods of various diameters,  materials and coatings.

Thirdly we do not have any recommend load data into ‘Rock’ but do have some bond strength values that we can share with you based upon the HIT-RE500V4 Epoxy resin injection and, we would refer you to the attached and the noted restrictions within that document.

Finally, HIT- RE500V4 can also be utilised for post installed connections into concrete which can be undertaken within the Profis Engineering software modules.
