Concrete Chemical Fixing

Concrete Chemical Fixing

I have a customer trying to install one of our motion bases. They have a concrete thickness of 160mm. Each motion base foot has a total of 8 off M20 fixings. These must withstand a vertical force for full payload and acceleration of 62kN. Can you advise type of fixing and whether the concrete thickness is sufficient. Our normal fixing type is HIT-RE500. Many thanks Jerry

Thanks for your question. Regarding providing design advice you have a couple of options available. You can register for the Profis Engineering software from your local HILTI and run the details yourself or download the data for the HAS-D rods with HY200-A injection mortar. Alternatively, you can contact your local HILTI technical dept with the full application details, including base material details, strength, if cracked uncracked concrete, anchor spacings, base plate dimensions, number of load cycles, normal load, and peak load etc.
