Class Type Approval - Bolted Connection

We are working on retrofitting a small removeable platforms fabricated in steel to a fleet of ferries. We are considering a bolted connection and would like to know if you have Class type approval for attaching a stud or threaded insert. The ferry classification is through Lloyd's Register. Thank you.
