I have previously used Profis and chosen HIT-HY 200-A resin with HAS-U A4 M12 anchors. I am now revising the loads but Profis will not let me choose the M12 anchor. The smallest choice is now M16. Is there a reason for this?
Thank you for your question the details provided are a bit limited so I can only assume the most obvious situation in that you've mentioned you are revising the loads assuming an increase then the base material may not be able to resist the load under the original criteria. The software will recalculate your details including embedment depth which may well lead to an in the diameter to allow a deeper embedment depth and a higher concrete capacity. I'd suggest that you contact your local HILTI technical office with the full application details and your PE file if the assumption is incorrect re the increase in loads.
