Can you use Profis with no reinforcement and get a splitting failure output, or must there be reinforcement to generate the report including it?

We are proposing to secure a new Monopole to an existing concrete base. As the base is of unknown strength and reinforcement our client has requested that we use lower concrete grade and ignore re-bar. This approach seems to negate the splitting check from working and they still want to see splitting as ok, can you advise if i have missed something please?

Thanks for your enquiry, yes, it is possible to model the base material as a 'mass' slab however splitting may still be applicable depending upon the combination of base material thickness and slab edge distance.
