Dear Sir/Madam,
I have been speaking to your customer services team who have
advised that I speak to you, please see query below.
We are fitting out a site where your product has been used
on the structural metal beams, we need to know if we can paint over the fire
coating and once painted will the fire coating integrity remain ?.
The Hilti product used was – CP670 Fire Safety Coating /
Item No: 00376023
We have obtained the product info used from the O&M
manuals, please see attached.
We just need documentation or an email to confirm that we
can paint over the fire coating or not.
Thank you for your enquiry, we are concerned regarding the application as described relating to the CP670C. This product was not intended as an intumescent protective system for structural beams but for use with the CP670 coated boards where you had for example a cable tray penetration through the board and you coated back 150mm either side using this product. I would suggest that you contact your local HILTI with the details of what you have onsite asking for the contact details of your local firestop team for there comments. As for printability yes, it was possible using a water based , solvent free coatings with a PH value between 6.0 - 8.0 with a movement capability of plus 30%.
Thanks for your enquiry however this is a generic engineering forum and we don't deal with individual countries. As originally suggested please can you contact your local HILTI organisation to arrange.
