Brick Edge Failure - Hollow clay brick England Nostell Red Multi 102/65/215
I am designing some masonry fixings for a steel frame. When inputting in the shear force on the bolts, regardless of the value, i get a Brick Edge Failure of 250%.
I have tried changing the dimensions between the edge of the panel and the bolts, but the utilization does not change.
Loking at 'Shear load (ETAG 029 Annex C, Section C.5.2.2)', for hollow bricks, we should have a minimum of VRk,c,┴ = 1,25 kN shear resistance, but the hilti report specifies brick edge failure capacity of 0.2kN.
Could someone please shine some light on this please?
