Bolted pins from a boltpistol into a fire painted steel.
Is it possible to mount shoot pins from a bolt pistol in a fire painted pice of steel?
Will it decrease the capacity of the pin, because i guess there have to be some kind of fusion between the steel and pin?

Thanks for your question, Where a coating is hard and several millimeters thick, the coating may be removed at the point where the fastener is to be driven (e.g. using a Forstner bit) so that the fastening is made on bare, uncoated steel. This method, however, requires that the fire protection coating is subsequently correctly re-applied at the points where fasteners
are driven.
