Anchor detailing requirements for hole drilling

Hi, What are the setting and hole drilling details for Hilti chemical anchors. I am specifying M24 (8.8) HIT-RE 500 V4 + HAS-U anchors with an embedment of 450mm. What is the required hole diameter to be drilling into the concrete and what are the minimum edge distances to base plate and edge distance of concrete base material?

I seen from a US Ask Hilti question/answer for HAS-U setting details. What is the cmin 60mm dimension for M24 anchors? is it the edge distance to concrete or base plate?

thanks.

Thank you for your enquiry, the hole diameter in the concrete for the HAS-U M24 with RE500V4 is 28mm whilst Cmin is the minimum edge distance to the edge of concrete. Note that at such distance you would not get the full capacity of the anchorage . Please refer to Eurocode 2 Design of concrete structures Part 4 Design of fastenings for use in concrete along with the upload ETA for the RE500V4 for Anchor applications to calculate the resistance if you do not have access to the Profis Engineering software. Regarding the distance from the end of the plate then EN1993 -1-8 suggests a minimum of 1.2 x d for steel to steel though from experience 1.5 x d seems a more typically adopted value for baseplates to concrete.
