Composite Concrete Slab UK

What is the best way to check Anchors in a composite slab UK? The total depth of the Slab is 190mm but at its most shallow depth it is 130mm. The anchors will not work in a 130mm slab. What is the best way to design the baseplate and Anchors in a composite slab UK?

Hi, thank you for getting in touch.
We would advise that when calculating for this form of base material to use the minimum concrete depth in the slab – therefore use 130mm for the design calculation. This then means that the correct fixings are going to be utilised on site. However if you can ensure that the fixings will be made into the 190mm depth channel section of the concrete then an option would be to model that in PROFIS - so modelling a thin beam 190mm x the width of the channel.
There are also features in PROFIS which allow you to check if any adaptions to the baseplate of the geometry will allow the design to work, this could also be an option for you in this case.
